For this year, the 2014 Nissan 370Z continues to offer legendary performance and style for drivers who want to get the most out of their ride without compromising. This two-seat coupe has a classic front engine/rear drive layout with a long hood, and muscular fender flares. With classic styling that evokes cars from Nissan’s history like the 240Z, there’s no mistaking that the 2014 Nissan 370Z means business in any trim level.
The 370Z is available in a number of configurations, including the 370Z, 370Z with Sport Package, 370Z Touring, 370Z Touring with Sport Package, and the high-performance 370Z NISMO.
For 2014, the 370Z comes standard with a number of great features. 18” x 8” (front)/18” x 9” (rear) aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance Yokohama ADVAN Sport tires are standard equipment. Making sure you can see and be seen, the Z also includes HID bi-functional xenon headlights with an automatic on/off function, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, and LED illuminated 370Z side markers. Other features include an aluminum hood, doors, and hatch with one-touch hatch release, dual exhaust, UV-reducing solar glass, and body-color power/heated outside mirrors. The Sport Package adds 19”x9.0”(front)/19”x10” RAYS forged alloy wheels, a front deflector, and a rear spoiler while NISMO models get 19”x9.5”(front)/19”x10.5” NISMO forged alloy wheels by RAYS with high-performance Bridgestone Potenza X001 tires, and a unique aerodynamic body kit.
Nissan designed the 370Z to perform as well as any sports car worthy of the name should, but the interior is by no means a stripped down track car. Even the base model comes standard with all the features you expect and a few you might not. Standard convenience features include power windows with one-touch auto-up/down and auto-reverse, power door locks with auto-locking feature, remote windows down control, steering wheel mounted cruise control, behind-seat storage, a tilt steering column with integrated gauges, and more. An 8-way power adjustable driver’s bucket seat with thigh support and a similar 4-way adjustable passenger seat can be appointed with leather or cloth and with heated functionality. Leather covers most surfaces, including the shift knob, parking brake handle, and steering wheel while suede and Alcantara are available on the Touring and NISMO trims respectively.
The heart and soul of any performance oriented car is its engine, but the 370Z doesn’t stop there. Every aspect of the coupe’s platform has been engineered for the ultimate driving experience and maximum performance. Powering the 370Z is a 332 hp, 270 lb-ft of torque 3.7-Liter V6 that returns up to 26 mpg* and is standard across all models and trim levels (performance parts help the NISMO model to put out 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque). A standard 6-speed manual transmission offers a traditional experience while a performance oriented 7-speed automatic is also available. Helping to transmit the power to the wheels, a carbon-fiber composite driveshaft, and a viscous Limited Slip Differential (optional on the base model, standard with Sport Package) are features that aren’t commonly found in affordable sports cars. A performance braking system with powerful calipers featuring uprated brake fluid and hoses makes for confident footing in all situations.
